Plain Air

I've been taking the great William Wray's great plein air painting class. I'm still very much a beginner but I feel like I'm learning alot and I really enjoy his one on one style of teaching. These were all painted in class at a variety of outdoor locations. Each study is oil on canvas board at about 2"x3".

Make sure to stop by William Wray's blog and drool of his many amazing paintings.

maybe you should blow these up to 6 feet, with the same amout of detail. Get in a gallery pretty quick if you had 20 of them.

Love the simplicity!!! Its amazing how little information is needed when the shape and color temperature is right.
